Do Metal Roofs Rust?

Rust on metal roofs can come from a worn or faded protective paint that allows the metal to be exposed to the elements. If your roof is properly maintained and you don’t let the paint fade, you won’t have any rust problems. If you have a roof where the fasteners are not hidden, they can rust, over long periods of time, but they can be replaced so just make sure to have your roof checked out every so often.
